Quote of the Week: On Wrongdoing & Rightdoing

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing & rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there." Rumi

With a mistake management plan in place, people will still do their best NOT to make mistakes.   But  they can move forward with confidence, knowing that if a mistake is made, everyone knows what to do about it. And if not – everyone will work together to find a solution.

And they know it’s not about placing blame. Or finding a scapegoat.

It’s about taking care of the immediate problem and the customer quickly.

And then when everyone is calm, rested and clear headed – it’s about exploring for solutions to prevent recurrence.

And while they may need to do a cold, hard review of what was done wrong and what was done right, they won’t get stuck there.

They will leave that behind and move beyond.

Out to that field.

That wide open space full of things –  ideas, solutions,  new ways of doing things – just waiting to be discovered.

I’ll meet you there.
