Your time…take it back!

Have you decided how you will observe  Take Back Your Time Day?

Are you ready to enjoy your present?

A  while back, I read about a poll which revealed that 65% of people spend their leisure time doing things they would prefer not to do.

Do you find that sad?  And maddening?

Let’s face it…we all have some things we would prefer not to do.

Laundry and litter boxes come to mind.

But wouldn’t it be nice if we were spending MOST of our leisure time doing things we really WANT to do?

You like that idea?

What is it that you’d like to do?

Paint?   Tae Kwon Do?   Play the sax?   Yoga?   Eat lunch with your child at school?

Make a list of all those things you wish you had time to do.

Now choose one thing. Just one.    And work it in to your plan for Saturday.  Even if it’s just for 10 minutes.  Write it on your calendar.  Just like you would a doctor appointment or a meeting with your boss.

Now DO it.

In addition – if you typically rush around all day,

walk slower.

Drive slower.

Look at the trees swaying in the breeze against the Carolina blue sky.

Do something that brings you joy.

Smile.

Laugh.

Take time to enjoy your precious present.
