It’s National Salsa Month

What a great excuse to bring chips and salsa to a staff meeting!
An inexpensive way to say thanks to the staff.
A fun way to break the tension.

Take it a step further and have Mexican music playing in the background. Add dramatic flair by donning a Mexican hat, turning on the music and “dancing” in with your tray of chips and salsa.

You may feel silly. They may roll their eyes. But they will laugh. And that will lighten the load, break any tension and maybe even bring people closer together. Not just today – but down the road as they think about or talk about the day the boss salsa’d into the office in celebration of National Salsa Month.

Laughter is the shortest distance between two people

  1. This reminded me that we’ve been “hunkering down” for far too long – and that it was time to lighten up a bit. Celebrating National Salsa Month gave us a way to do inexpensively. It was great fun! Thanks.

  2. I loved this idea but we have 50 people at our sales meetings, so just coming in with chips and salsa didn’t seem like enough. So I brought in a pinata and some other decorations. And I brought my salsa instructor!!

He and I demonstrated a few of the new moves I’ve been learning and then invited others to come up and join us. When some of them came up and others didn’t – that was a great opportunity to talk about things that keep people watching instead of participating.

Then just for fun, we had a prize drawing for all attendees and the winner won…..
a gift certificate for salsa lessons with my very cute instructor!!!

It was so much fun. Great energy builder. Great morale builder. Had to be great for productivity too!

    Thanks for the idea!
