Soar Like An Eagle

In celebration of Bald Eagle Day…

Eagles and hippos. They speak not a word but say so much. Even more with the help of “interpreters” like Carl Sandburg.

There is an eagle in me that wants to soar and a hippotamus in me that wants to wallow in the mud.

Both soaring and wallowing can be an enjoyable and productive use of time.

It can be a problem though if we want to wallow in the mud at a time when we need to soar like eagles. It can also be a problem if wallowing in the mud leads to being stuck in the mud.

When we are unproductively wallowing, how can we get ourselves out of the muck so that we can achieve what we want to achieve and celebrate big successes with our teams.

Sounds like an eagle longing to soar.

How does one get herself out of the mud?

We’d love to hear your ideas below (share in Comments section).

And we invite you to read some of our suggestions here: 10 Ways Out of the Mud.
