Quote of the Week: True Measure of Thanksgiving

I hope you had a safe, fun and meaningful Thanksgiving.

Before getting whisked back into busy-ness,  how about using this week’s quote as a nudge to linger longer over that list of people, things and reasons for which we are thankful?

Are you putting your blessings to good use?  Their best use?

How might you use them – all of them – for better morale, productivity and overall performance?

This is an opportunity for us as leaders to take a closer look at our blessings…

…for those that may be un-used, under-utilized or unappreciated.  Like:

1.  A talented team member, ready, waiting and hoping for more or more challenging work to do.

2.  A talented team member who doesn’t know if her work is good enough.

3.  A special skill or talent you have that doesn’t get used because you are too mired in work that could be done by others (like the person in #1).

4.  A  list of current or former clients that don’t hear from you much because you are so busy pursuing new business.

5.  The un-used benefits, services and programs offered by a trade organization or chamber of commerce to which you belong.

The list could go on and on.

Put just one of these blessings to “better use”and you will likely enjoy many blessings in return.  One of which could be the resolution of a problem that’s been plaguing you for some time.

Post this week’s quote as a reminder that even though Thanksgiving is over, our blessings are not.

And if you haven’t already done so, we invite you to sign up here for a Monday morning BOOST for you and your team – the Leadership Quote of the Week delivered to your email box each Monday morning.
