Quote of the Week: Fight Procrastination

Our Quote of the Week has been selected in celebration of Fight Procrastination Day (Thursday, September 6).  It’s a nice little six month follow up for those of us who are still putting off the tips we picked up during National Procrastinators Week.

But wait a minute, if you are reading this in the USA on Labor Day, procrastination is in order.

Labor Day is the last hurrah for summer sun and fun.  A good day for hoots and rainbows.    For today – forget about the Quote of the Week.  Pretend to be Scarlett in Gone with the Wind.

“I’ll think of it tomorrow… After all, tomorrow is another day.”

And if you are traveling on Labor Day, please be safe – and patient.

If all the cars in the United States were placed end to end, it would probably be Labor Day Weekend.

Once back at work, it’s time to stop being or pretending to be Scarlett.

Yes – it’s time to take a serious look at the Leadership Quote of the Week – which is  actually a question.

What's the next step?

This simple question and your answer to it,  provides a power punch in the fight against procrastination.

What’s the next step?

As a reminder to yourself and others, post the image above or below on the walls, on your computer screen (see instructions below).    Consistently asking this question of yourself and others and then following through will boost morale, productivity and overall performance.

What’s the next step after posting the reminder?

Read  Tips 6, 7 and 9 in:  Ten Tips for Putting Off Procrastination.

One more next step:  If you haven’t already done so, sign up here for a Monday morning BOOST for you and your team – the Leadership Quote of the Week delivered to your email box each Monday morning.

You can post the above quote to your computer screen with just three clicks.
