Happy National Donut Day!

doughnuts
June 3 is National Doughnut Day*.

Celebrate by bringing duh – doughnuts to work! Be sure to have the coffee pot handy, too. Or a carton of milk in celebration of Dairy Month.
This is an easy way to bring a bit of fun to your Friday staff meeting.
No meeting on Friday? Just bring the box in and park it by the coffee pot with a sign that says, “Happy National Doughnut Day“. Or walk from desk to desk in celebratory fashion inviting people to select their favorite doughnut from the box.
If you have walk in traffic, offer them to customers too. The doughnuts, the coffee and the milk.
If you are in outside sales, what about delivering a dozen to your clients?!
And if you sell doughnuts…
  1. Set up a table at the front of the store piled high with boxes of doughnuts and a huge sign that says “Celebrate National Doughnut Day!”
  2. Offer something special if you can – like buy a dozen, get one free.
  3. Tweet about it.
  4. Put it on your Facebook page.
  5. Announce it to your e-mail subscriber list.

Most of all – have fun with this once-a-year way to celebrate with staff, colleagues, clients and customers. The investment is small. The payoff may be priceless.

* Of Interest: “National Doughnut Day started in 1938 as a fund raiser for the Chicago Salvation Army. Their goal was to help the needy during the Great Depression, and to honor the Salvation Army “Lassies” of World War I who served doughnuts to soldiers.” from Wikipedia.
