Party Idea for Administrative Professionals Day/Week

If your team works under a lot of pressure, an “It’s a Jungle Out There” or “It’s Been Wild”  Party may be a perfect way to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day (April 27).

You can transform your conference or meeting room into a  jungle with four easy steps:

  1. Cover table with a zebra print table cloth.
  2. Bring in potted plants from around the office and/or from home.
  3. Bring lots of stuffed animals from home.
  4. Set the mood with jungle music.   Click to hear a fun sample of  jungle sounds.

For those with a little extra money, there are many fun jungle items available at places like Party City.

For refreshments,  it can be as easy as red “jungle” punch, fruit and animal crackers.

During the party, express your appreciation by listing (verbally or on a white board or flipchart ) all the wild things  these individuals and this team  have encountered, tackled and mastered.  Or open it up for discussion and create the list with the group.   A lovely way to engage.  A powerful boost to morale and productivity.

There are all sorts of ways to expand on this idea.  Give out Lion Tamer Awards.  Dress in black and white stripes, pretending to be a zebra.  Give each person a  potted plant.   Etc

Most of all – enjoy yourself, enjoy them and help them do the same.
