This week’s Quick List* is a companion piece to our Quote of the Week: Which dog is winning? which is based on this story:
A Native American Elder once described his own inner struggles in this manner:
“Inside of me there are two dogs.
One of the dogs is mean and evil.
The other dog is good.
The mean dog fights with the good dog all the time.”When asked which dog wins, he reflected for a moment and replied,
“The one I feed the most.”
And have you noticed? That mean, evil dog can be REALLY mean. And tough. Sometimes I think I’ve starved him to death and then all of the sudden he attacks out no where. And when he wins….he devours all morale and productivity in sight.
To keep that from happening, it’s important to load up so you are ready to ward off mean attacks. Here’s a tool to help you stock up with 10 X 4 or 40 power snacks.
In case Printer icon gives you trouble, here’s a link to the PDF.
Don’t feel you have to fill in all the blanks in one sitting. Take 5 minutes and capture what first comes to mind. Carry the list with you or stick it in your desk drawer. Add to the list as new thoughts come to you. By the way – this a great exercise to share with teammates.
