In March 2009, we discovered Hubspot and their Website Grader. Our first score was 57. An F.
Ever since, our Hubspot score has been part of our Dashboard of Key Performance Indicators.
Along with our 57, came a list of things we could do to improve. Working that list was a primary focus for interns, Brad Johnson and
Jordan Van Gorder during the summer of 2009. Their hard work got our score up to an 87 – yes 30 points! – by the end of summer; and up to 94 by end of 2009. In 2010, we hovered between 94 and 97. And now – today – after two years of minding the gap – our score is 98!!! WOO HOO!!!
Along with that Hubspot score increase from 57 to 98 came a 400% increase in traffic.
Another WOO HOO!!! And a huge THANK YOU to Hubspot, to Brad and to Jordan!
As you can probably tell – we highly recommend Website Grader. And by the way, Hubspot isn’t paying us to say this. Nor to refer people. Although – that wouldn’t be a bad idea. Maybe we should ask. 🙂
If you want to get a grade for your site, and a plan for how to improve it, go to www.WebsiteGrader.com. And if you lose that link, don’t worry. You can find it real easy right here at Business Class. It’s on every page of our website – in the right hand side bar. Under “Helpful Tools“, look for “Website Grader – Free Tool!”
Meanwhile – our Hubspot website score will continue to be part of our on our Dashboard. Wonder how long it will take to get to 100.
P.S. They also have other graders – press releases, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Just started with Twitter grader today. Looks like we’ve got some tweetin’ to do.
