One of the quotes we featured for the start of a new year was:
“Take a moment to stop and think about what you give to the people and life around you. Don’t think about what you are not doing right. Look at all you do that is a blessing.
Many of us continually beat ourselves up for not doing or being enough. But imagine for just a moment that you are great just as you are. Feel the relief this brings!
Now open to the possibility that this is not a daydream. It’s true! Believe it!”
John and Patrice Robson
Have you taken any time to think about this? To take inventory of “all you do that is a blessing” to others…to your community…to the world?
If you haven’t already done it for yourself, what about taking a few minutes to do it over the weekend?
Then how about getting your spouse, partner or entire family involved? Remind each other of the blessings each brings to the world. Make a lonnnng list.
Then on Monday – how about doing the same for the staff? You could do this by giving each person a handwritten note about the great things they bring to the world. Or at a staff meeting, ask each person to write a note of appreciation to the person sitting to his/her right (or some other way of assigning). Give everyone a few minutes to write their note of thanks. And then pass.
What a wonderful way to start off a year!
A nice boost for morale and productivity.
