In Celebration of National Dog Day

HurleyDid you know that today is National Dog Day?

Wondering how to join in such a celebration?

You could parade your pup on the National Dog Day Facebook page.    You could use some ideas from K-9 Health Solutions

Whatever you do, be sure to celebrate the things they’ve taught us.     Things like*:

  1. There is much to explore and discover.
  2. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
  3. Be loyal and protect those you love.
  4. Let others know when they have invaded your territory.
  5. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
  6. Run, romp and play every day.
  7. Accidents happen.
  8. When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
  9. When someone is having a bad day, be silent and stay close.
  10. Stop and smell the roses…and everything else along the way.

Things that can boost productivity and morale.  Things that can help us be better managers, better leaders, better people.

*Note:  Some of these are in my words.  Some of them are from lists others have made, but they didn’t identify themselves so I cannot give them credit.  So instead I will just credit Mr. Hurley, pictured above, a very special dog, who is no longer with us.  But taught us so much.
