Thursday is Eat Your Vegetables Day

vegetablesEat Your Vegetables Day is on Thursday, June 17.

Take this opportunity to have a little fun, relieve stress, break tension, say thank you – and in doing so, you boost morale and productivity.

But BEWARE!!!  The foundation of good morale and productivity is hiring the right people.  Yes – don’t hire grumps.  And the people must have clear roles, responsibities, expectations and goals.  And they must receive training and coaching which includes feedback, direction, support and recognition from a trusted manager or coach.

So don’t expect to throw  out a few vegetables and expect instant morale.

Here are a few simple ideas for celebrating EYV Day:

– bring a tray of vegetables (they don’t all have to be green) and dip to the staff meeting.
– organize a pot luck lunch for the staff. Ask everyone to bring their favorite vegetable.
– organize a pot luck lunch for the staff. Ask everyone to bring a salad item.

For added value, use this idea for a quick related teamwork activity.

Take this opportunity to have a little fun, relieve stress, break tension and say thank you. Giving you the opportunity to boost energy, morale, productivity, and overall health on June 17 and beyond.

Enjoy!
