Some of you have said things like, “Fools, Frogs and Baseball?  Oh PLEASE!  How can I even CONSIDER that kind of stuff when I’m hanging on to my business (or job) for dear life?  I need RESULTS.   Bottom line results.”

We hear you.  Many of us are in that position.  And for most of us, it’s harder than ever to get the results we need.  Performance is critical.   And THAT makes it more important than ever to pay close attention to morale and productivity.  Because  – well you know what dips in both can do.   They INTERFERE with our efforts, cutting into our POTENTIAL and lowering PERFORMANCE, bottom line results, that might have been.

Four ways to put this formula to work for improved performance: 

1. Post it in a prominent place like your computer screen (see details below).
2. Start a list of the things that are INTERFERING with your performance (progress to goal, bottom line results).   Include everything you can think of from the economy to the competition to the noise in the hallway to your dead battery.  Add to your list throughout the week.  Beside each item, put a “P” if it’s affecting productivity; and an “M” if it’s affecting morale.
3. If you work with a team,  ask them to do the same and bring for discussion at the next staff meeting.
4. Come back throughout the week to read more about how to reduce this INTERFERENCE and improve PERFORMANCE.  Bottom line performance.
