The inspiration in this movie can help you boost morale and productivity helping you be a better manager and get 2 goal.
Not a manager? That’s okay. It can help you boost your own morale and productivity so that you get to goal.

One of our featured quotes this week is: “The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall.” (Vince Lombardi).
But man – sometimes it hurts. Sometimes I don’t have the energy to get back up. Many times I question myself and my abilities and don’t even want to get back up.
Does any of that ever happen to you? Or to anyone on your team?
It’s been my experience that most managers and teams and individuals often give up or stop too soon. I’ve certainly done it many times. But I’ve learned that pushing to the end (and preparing for it) is both an art and a science, requiring us to draw energy from internal and external sources.
We’ve posted several tools this week. Tools to help people feel better about falling down and get better at getting back up so that they can push to goal (or at least a more successful ending). A list of these is below.
And now – we add this movie to the list.
For me, this movie serves as a reminder, a nudge, maybe even a push, to managers of the responsibility they have to those in their charge. To be committed enough to the goals and to their teams to step up and truly lead.
Get the popcorn, Milk Duds and Raisinettes and watch this two minute movie. *

What do you think?
Is it a good reminder for you of the power, the influence a leader can have?
Skeptics may say something like, “Yes – well that’s the movies….that’s Hollywood…I could never do that.”
I hear you. I couldn’t do it quite that way either.
But the thing is…to make an impact doesn’t necessarily require a major speech. It doesn’t have to be eloquent.
It could just be a few words like:
- “We will fight”
- “This could be the greatest night of our lives”
- “Failure is not an option”
- “I’m not saying it will be easy”
- “You’re gonna work harder than ever”
- “That’s how winning is done”
- “We are lions”
- “This is your time”
- “Sieze the day”
- “Who is with me?”
- “And they will know what we can do”
Okay – so some of those might not be your personality.
But just a few words to the team…or to an individual on your team…showing that you are committed to the goal.
That you are committed to the team…to the individuals on the team.
And that you are with them and behind them all the way.
What an impact it could have.
So much to gain…so little to lose.
I’d love to hear your comments.
Meanwhile – I hope you’ll gather your management team to watch and discuss.
And then – save it to watch later as a reminder of the power you can have on your team.
Or save it to watch at a time when you need some external influence to help you get back up or stay back up and out there.
