Alert! Phish Bait

From The Post Chronicle:

Be on the look out for a fake email from the IRS giving notice of unreported/underreported income because it is a phishing scam.

The fake email notice (see below) from the IRS about underreported income masquerades as a legitimate IRS Notice called a CP2000, which would provide you with a legitimate contact at the IRS.

However, this one purports to be from no- reply@irs.gov, but it is just a fake address used by the phishing scammers who want you to click the link in the email so they can steal your personal and/or financial information.

Ignore the notice and as with any email you do not recognize, DO NOT click the link.
