Quick – how many green vegetables can you name? Write them down on a piece of paper. You have 30 seconds.
Ding. Time is up.
How many did you list? About 10?
If we were all in a room together (like at a staff meeting) and I asked everyone to share their individual list of green vegetables, our combined list would be far greater than 10. Probably fill an entire flipchart page.
It’s a silly but simple exercise with a big message on the value of teamwork.
It could also serve as an introduction to your celebration of Eat Your Vegetables Day, which is on Wednesday, June 17.
Ideas for simple ways to celebrate:
– bring a tray of vegetables (they don’t all have to be green) and dip to the staff meeting.
– organize a pot luck lunch for the staff. Ask everyone to bring their favorite vegetable.
– organize a pot luck lunch for the staff. Ask everyone to bring a salad item.
Take this opportunity to have a little fun, relieve stress, break tension and say thank you. Giving you the opportunity to boost energy, morale, productivity, and overall health on June 17 and beyond.
