10 Questions for Finding “New Eyes”

Sometimes we search high and low for new solutions, colleagues, products, prospects…seeking a new path that will bring us to a new, different or better ending.   When often, the best, easiest or most valuable discovery can be made with ”new eyes”. 

All kinds of things can help us do this.  See 10 Ways to “See” thru “New Eyes“.  Sometimes it’s a series of questions like the ones below.  Often a single question will do the trick.  Helping us make a shift.  So that we see through “new eyes”.  Aha!

Good for morale.  Productivity too.

  1. What is the problem?
  2. What do we want instead?  ie – What is the desired end result?
  3. Why is that important?
  4. What assumptions are we making?
  5. What are we doing now? 
  6. Why do we do it that way? For more on this, see Simple Question.  New Ending.
  7. What if we didn’t do it?
  8. What resources are NOT being used to their fullest?
  9. How would ____ do it?  Or your Dad?  Or as Phil Ford said, “What would Jesus do?”
  10. What if we….?
